Jasmonate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jasmine ( Jasminum grandiflorum )
( Z ) - (3 R , 7 R ) -methyl jasmonate (1.7% in jasmine absolute)
( Z ) - (3 R , 7 S ) -methyl jasmonate (0.2% in jasmine absolute)

The jasmonates are a group of phytohormones from the group of oxylipins , which are derived from jasmonic acid . As with other plant hormones, both activating and inhibiting functions are ascribed to the jasmonates. Both synergistic and antagonistic effects on other hormones have been observed.

The name comes from the jasmine plant , in which jasmonate was first discovered.

Jasmonate Induced Proteins

So-called jasmonate-induced proteins (JIPs), the accumulation of which is caused by derivatives of jasmonic acid, have been found in all plant species .

  • Accumulation through drying or accumulation of auxin ,
  • Jasmonate-induced proteins are absent from the roots, bleached leaves and chlorophyll- deficient leaves. However , they are present in etiolated ( yellowed ) leaves.
