Javier "Gallego" Gómez (* 1968 or 1969 in San Martín del Monte or San Miguel del Monte ) is a former Argentine road cyclist .

Gómez, son of a Spaniard, learned to cycle at the age of three and began cycling at the age of eleven. The "Gallego", who rides for the Club Ciclista Alas Rojas de Santa Lucía , has been successful in various South American cycling events. In 2001 he was the overall winner of the Rutas de América . He was also able to win the overall ranking at the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay in 2000, 2001 and 2003 . Finally he succeeded in winning the national championships in 2003, where he was Argentine road cycling champion. In April 2003, Gómez announced his retirement from cycling. At that time he lived in Santa Lucía .
