Javier Gutiérrez Cuevas (born March 29, 1985 in Santander ) is a Spanish cross-country skier .

Career

Gutiérrez has mainly competed in FIS races and the Alpine Cross-Country Cup since 2004 . He ran his first World Cup race in November 2007 in Beitostølen , which he finished in 82nd place over 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , he reached 67th place over 15 km classic. His best finish at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver was the 40th place in the 30 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo , 58th place in the 50 km mass start race was his best result. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he reached 51st place in the 50 km mass start race. His best placement at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 47th in the 50 km mass start race.
