Javier Jáuregui

Javier Jáuregui (* 5. September 1973 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , Mexico as J. Rogelio Jáuregui Delgado ; † 11. December 2013 ) was a Mexican boxer in the lightweight .

On November 22, 2003, he competed against the then undefeated US American Leavander Johnson (32-3-2) for the vacant world title of the International Boxing Federation and won unanimously on points.

Jauregui retired from boxing in 2010. He died after a stroke at the age of only 40.
