Jaysingpur is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra . It forms a satellite city of Sangli .

The city is part of the Kolhapur district . Jaysingpur has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 23 wards . It had a total of 48,510 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 24,273 were men and 24,237 women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of around 67%, followed by Muslims and Jainas with around 15% each. The literacy rate in 2011 was 85.38%.
