Jazztime is a German radio broadcaster from Nuremberg that only plays jazz . However, it is mostly perceived by the listeners as a broadcast on Radio F , as it fits in well with its evening program schedule and is only perceived by the imprint as an independent transmitter with its own license on 94.5  MHz . The show, which is popular with jazz fans, is sponsored by the Bavarian State Center for New Media as well as by the radio house of the four large local radio stations in Nuremberg.

The Nuremberg Jazz Studio successfully applied for one of the five terrestrial frequencies advertised on July 25, 1986, prevailing against a total of 36 applicants. It started broadcasting on December 3, 1986, when the local stations already in the cable network went terrestrially "on air". It is thanks to the peculiarity of the Bavarian Media Act that such program windows were set up on the main programs .

program

Jazztime is on the air for one hour every Thursday at 10 p.m. The Monday programs , which were under the motto Alltime Jazz Greats with the big stars at the same time , have now been discontinued. On Thursdays, topics from current jazz events in the region and the more modern varieties are on the program. Moderators are Alfred Mangold and Ulrich Wallauer-Faderl; Walter Schätzlein moderated until 2005. No media data are available (as these summarize all five days of the week and thus the program on Radio F); however, there are older survey data from Infratest .

Ownership structure

The station is 100 percent owned by Jazzstudio Nürnberg eV

reception

The terrestrial transmission frequency is 94.5 MHz, and the broadcast continues via DAB + , the cable network in the greater Nuremberg area and worldwide on the Internet .
