Jean-Baptiste Pallegoix (born October 24, 1805 in Combertault , France , † June 18, 1862 in Bangkok ) was a French Apostolic Vicar in Eastern Thailand ("Siam Orientale", today the Archdiocese of Bangkok ).

Pallegoix was ordained on May 31, 1828 as a priest of the Société des Missions Étrangères . On June 3, 1838 he was appointed coadjutor of the Vicar Apostolic in Siam and titular bishop of Mallus . The consecration was carried out by Bishop Jean Paul Hilaire Michel Courvezy , Vicar Apostolic of Siam. On September 10, 1841, Pallegoix was his successor.

Pallegoix was valued by King Mongkut (Rama IV) , and both exchanged views on numerous problems and subjects. The king even assisted in the burial of Pallegoix.
