Jean-Luc Bambara (* 1963 in Garango , Upper Volta , today Burkina Faso ) is a sculptor from the West African state of Burkina Faso. He belongs to the Bissa ethnic group . He designed figures of saints in the cathedral of Ouagadougou and other churches in Burkina Faso. A successful exhibition in Germany was followed by others in Portugal, Spain and the United States. Works by him are displayed in public places in the capital of the country; Bambara also participated in the Laongo sculpture park, Sculptures de Laongo . There are other works of art in Ladenburg , the twin town of Bambara's birthplace.
