Jean-Marc Roubaud (born June 18, 1951 in Algiers ) is a French politician . He was a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2012 .

Roubaud was working as a pharmacist when he joined the Villeneuve-lès-Avignon council in 1989 . In 1995 he was elected mayor of the municipality. In 2002 he joined the department of Gard to the parliamentary elections and pulled for the conservative UMP into the National Assembly. In 2007 he was re-elected. In the 2012 elections , he ran again. However, he failed in the second ballot with 38.0% of the socialist Patrice Prat , who received 41.4% of the vote. Afterwards, Roubaud complained accordingly: Together with the right-wing extremist Gilles Caïtucoli (20.5%), there would have been a right-wing majority, which, however, did not come into effect due to the lack of an agreement by the right-wing camp.
