Jean-Marie Halsdorf
Jean-Marie Halsdorf (born February 1, 1957 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg politician .
Life
After finishing school in Echternach , Halsdorf studied pharmacy in Strasbourg . Halsdorf became a member of the conservative Christian Social People's Party . In 1988 he won a seat on the city council of Pétange , of which he became mayor in 2000. In 1994 he was also elected as a member of the Luxembourg Parliament.
From 2004 to 2013, Halsdorf was Minister of the Interior and Defense in Luxembourg.
