Jean-Michel Joubert (born March 27, 1985 ) is a former South African ice hockey player who played for the Cape Town Penguins in the Western Provinces Ice Hockey League . He is currently on the coaching staff of the South African Association.

Career

Jean-Michel Joubert played in the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Cape Town Sharks from Cape Town , for which he was on the ice in the Western Provinces Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play the South African national championship.

International

Joubert took part with the South African national team in the world championships in Division III in 2010 and 2011 , with promotion to Division II in 2011.

After his active career, he acted as assistant coach of the South African selection in Division III at the 2013 World Championships and rose to Division II with the Springboks. At the U18 World Cup in 2016 he was the head coach of the South African Juniors in Division III.
