Jean-Michel Spieser

Jean-Michel Spieser (* 1942 in Strasbourg ) is a French Christian archaeologist .

Life

He attended the ENS Paris (1963-1967) and graduated from the Agrégation in Lettres classiques (1966). From 1981 to 1997 he taught as a professor at the University of Strasbourg . From 1997 to 2012: he was a full professor for early Christian and Byzantine archeology at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) .
