Jean-Pascal Labille (born February 23, 1961 in Villers-Semeuse , France ) is a Belgian politician of the Parti Socialiste (PS). After various mandates in public institutions, Labille took over the post of Federal Minister for Public Enterprises and Development Cooperation in the Di Rupo government from 2013 to 2014 .

Life

Labille is a qualified sales engineer (Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) at the University of Liège (ULg), 1985) and initially worked as a company auditor in Michel Daerden's (PS) company. From 1996 he taught at the HEC University of Liège before becoming director of the Federation of Socialist Health Insurance Funds of Liège (now Solidaris ) in 2001 . In 2008 he took over the chairmanship of the National Association of Socialist Health Insurance Funds and at the same time held several other mandates in public or semi-public institutions ( RTBF , University Hospital (CHU) Liège, Wallonia Investment Company (SRIW), P&V Insurance, ...).

On January 17, 2013, he succeeded Paul Magnette (PS), who took over the chairmanship of the party, as Federal Minister for Public Enterprises and Development Cooperation in the government under Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo (PS).
