Jean-Pierre Martinet (born 1944 in Libourne ; † 1993 ) was a French director, writer and critic.

Jean-Pierre Martinet worked as a director for the state broadcaster ORTF . His name is mainly associated with other authors such as Emmanuel Bove or Henri Calet . His most important work is the novel "Jérôme" from 1978. Various smaller French publishers (finitude; Arbre vengeur) are taking care of a reprint of his work.
