Jean-Pierre Pujol

Jean-Pierre Pujol (born June 30, 1941 ; died November 8, 2017 in Mont-de-Marsan ) was a French politician ( Socialist Party ). He was president of the Gers department .

Pujol was deputy to Claude Desbons in the National Assembly and became a member of Parliament after his death in September 2001.

In 2008 he ran for election to the Senate , but was not elected.

On July 19, 2013 he was elected President of the Conseil départemental du Gers to succeed Philippe Martin . On June 27, 2014, he announced his resignation. Pujol died on the night of November 8, 2017 at the age of 76.
