Jean Acédo (born February 4, 1964 in Marcigny ) is a former French football player and current coach.
Player career
Acédo grew up in the Saône-et-Loire department and in 1980 moved to the youth department of the local second division club FC Gueugnon . In 1982 he moved up to the first team. For this he came in his first season on eleven missions, but could not establish himself permanently in the team until 1986. Only in the 1986/87 seasons with 22 and 1987/88 with 33 league games did he make his breakthrough. From then on, he was a constant in full defense at FC Gueugnon, for whom he played throughout his career. In 1995 the club made the leap into the first division . Acédo played 36 games in the elite class, which remained his only because in 1996 the direct relegation followed. Even after relegation, he remained an integral part of the team. 1999 ended his active career at the age of 35 after more than 400 league appearances for Gueugnon.
Coaching career
Beyond the end of his career, Acédo remained part of his former club, where he was hired as an assistant coach immediately after the end of his career. As such, he looked after his son Jérémy Acédo , who was in the squad from 2006. He remained in this office until 2008, when he left Gueugnon after a total of 28 years. Instead, he became the head coach of the fourth division club SO Romorantin . From there he moved in 2010 to CS Louhans-Cuiseaux, who was one division lower, and remained in office until 2014.
