Jean Bogaerts

Jan "Jean" Bogaerts (born January 19, 1925 in Koningslo ; † January 28, 2017 in Schaarbeek ) was a Belgian cyclist .

Bogaerts became a professional cyclist in 1945 and won the premiere of the one-day race Omloop Het Volk in his first year as a professional . He repeated this victory six years later. He achieved his greatest success in a stage race in 1951 with the overall victory of the Tour of the Netherlands .
