Jean Boyer (director)

Jean Boyer (born June 26, 1901 in Paris , † March 10, 1965 ibid) was a French director and screenwriter .

The son of the chansonnier Lucien Boyer began his career in the early 1930s as a screenwriter (among others with Abel Gance ) and from 1935 as a director. In the course of his life he made more than seventy mostly successful entertainment films , including Miquette (the last film with Lilian Harvey ) and Le trou normand, in which Brigitte Bardot made her debut in 1952 . He also wrote chanson texts for several music films. He also produced some of his films himself, including Coiffeur pour dames (1952).
