Jean Cousin (* 1522 in Sens ; † 1595 in Paris ) was a French painter, sculptor and graphic artist.

Life

Jean Cousin was born in Sens in 1522, the son of the French painter Jean Cousin the Elder . He followed his father to Paris, where he studied at the university from 1542 . He learned painting and graphics in his father's workshop, which he continued after his father's death. He was just as talented as his father, and the works of the two are hard to tell apart.
