Jean Guillaume Lugol
Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol (born August 18, 1786 in Montauban , † September 16, 1851 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French doctor .
life and work
Lugol studied medicine in Paris and passed his exam in 1812. From 1819 until his retirement he was a doctor at the Hôpital Saint-Louis . He mainly dealt with tuberculosis and scrofula . Is named after him for the disinfection and detection of starch usable Lugol solution .
