Jean Mallion

Jean Mallion (born July 27, 1903 in Lyon , † January 4, 1986 ) was a French Romance studies and literary scholar.

life and work

Jean-Baptiste Mallion was Agrégé de lettres (1932) and a graduate of the École du Louvre . He completed his habilitation in Paris with the two theses Victor Hugo et l'art architectural (Paris / Grenoble 1962) and Le jubé de la cathédrale de Chartres (Paris 1964) and was professor at the University of Grenoble from 1959 . From 1977 he belonged to the Académie Delphinale (armchair 41).
