Jean Marie Maguena (born November 19, 1957 in Mouila ) is a Gabonese diplomat .

Life

He studied law , political science and international relations at the Universities of Paris I and Paris XI . He was also a student at the École nationale d'administration (ENA).

Maguena entered the Gabonese diplomatic service and worked for the Gabonese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There he worked as Embassy Director for Africa , Director for Europe and ultimately as Deputy Secretary General. This was followed by a position as cabinet director of the Vice President of the Republic. From 2007 to 2012 he was Vice President of the Commission of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community .

At times he worked as a director of the airline Air Gabon and taught as a lecturer in international relations.

On November 30, 2015, he was accredited as the Gabonese ambassador to Germany based in Berlin .

Jean Marie Maguena is married and has three children.
