Jean d'Aillon , actually Jean-Louis Roos (born April 16, 1948 in Gabon , French Equatorial Africa ), is a French writer.

Live and act

Jean d'Aillon is the son of an administrative officer who returned to France with his family in early 1951 and settled in Le Midi ( southern France ). It was there that d'Aillon also completed his school days and his studies, which he completed with a doctorate as Dr. rer. oec. ( Economics ).

Subsequently, d'Aillon taught economic history and macroeconomics at the University of Aix-en-Provence . He was later appointed to the European Commission , where he represented his country on various financial committees.

In 1997, d'Aillon made a successful debut with his first novel. Since he was able to repeat and then increase this success with his historical novels and his thrillers , he quit his job in 2007 and devoted himself only to his literary work.

One of d'Aillon's best-known protagonists is Louis Fronsac , a fictional notary who is in the service of Cardinal Richelieu (later Cardinal Mazarin ) and has to endure various adventures.
