Jeff Bucknum

Jeff Bucknum (born July 12, 1966 in Glendale , California ) is an American racing driver .

Career

Jeff Buckum is the son of Ronnie Bucknum , who died in 1992 and was the first Honda Racing F1 driver in the 1960s .

Jeff Bucknum tried to follow in his father's footsteps when he was also aiming for a racing career, but has not been very successful to this day. In 2005 he started four races in the Indy Racing League with tenth place in the race at Infineon Raceway as the best place. The American also drove a few races in the LMP-2 class of the American Le Mans Series

In 2005 he made his debut at the Indianapolis 500 , but could not classify. In 2006 he was involved in an accident on the second lap and finally finished the race in 32nd place. He was also at the start of six races in the Indy Racing League in 2006, but was unable to book a place in the top field.
