Chris McMurry

Chris McMurry (born May 5, 1965 in Milwaukee ) is a former American racing car driver and the father of Matt McMurry .

Career

Chris McMurry was involved in North American sports car racing between 2001 and 2013 and was a long-term partner of Michael Lewis and Bryan Willman . In 89 races he was able to celebrate six class wins. He achieved his best championship successes in the American Le Mans Series . In 2005 he was second overall in the LMP2 class on a Courage C65 behind Clint Field (who drove a Lola B05 / 40 and a Lola B2K / 40 ). In 2013 he was third overall in the LMP1 class.

He competed twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race ; both times he did not make it into the final ranking. In Sebring it reached 2,005 Rank 11 and a class victory.
