Jeff Martin
Jeff Martin is an American television producer and screenwriter .
During the first four seasons of The Simpsons , he was one of the writers on the series. He attended Harvard University , where he, like many other Simpsons writers, wrote for the satirical magazine The Harvard Lampoon . Like most of the original writing team, he left the series in 1993 and has since worked on numerous television series, including a TV adaptation of Baby Blues . He was also the author of the late night show Late Night with David Letterman , occasionally appearing as the depressed smoker Flunkie the late-night viewer mail clown . As a member of the show's writing ensemble, he and his colleagues received four Emmys between 1984 and 1987 in the Outstanding Writing in a Variety or Music Program category .
Martin currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, television producer Suzanne Martin, and their daughter . He also has another daughter.
