The Jeffries peak is approximately 950 m high mountain on the Danco Coast to the west of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises south of Wilhelmina Bay between the Leonardo and Blanchard glaciers .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in the years from 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1960 after the US-American physician and aviation pioneer John Jeffries (1744-1819), the 1785 together with Frenchman Jean-Pierre Blanchard , the first crossing of the English Channel in a balloon succeeded.
