Jelena Dmitrijewna Dumnowa ( Russian Елена Дмитриевна Думнова ; born August 4, 1970 in Kharanchoi near Kjachta , Buryat ASSR , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Jelena Dumnowa made her international debut at the 1994 European Championships in Kontiolahti . At the very first Biathlon European Championships , she won the relay race alongside Larissa Novoselskaya and Irina Mileschina . At the start of the 1994/95 season in Bad Gastein , she won her first and only World Cup point in her three World Cup races in 25th place. Dumnowa achieved another international success at the 1998 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie . At the side of Olga Palikowa , Jelena Safarowa and Nadeschda Talanowa , she won the bronze medal in the relay race behind the representations from Belarus and Slovakia. She was also 13th in the sprint and 14th in the pursuit race.
