Jelena Tichonowa ( Russian Елена Тихонова , English transcription Yelena Tikhonova ; born October 31, 1977 ) is a Russian marathon runner .

Career

In 2005 she won the Gutenberg Marathon in her best time of 2:38:05 and came second in the Münster Marathon . In 2006 she won the Zurich Marathon and was third in the Gutenberg and Cologne Marathons .

In 2007 she finished second behind her compatriot Nina Podnebesnowa at the Zurich Marathon .

In France at the Seine-Eure marathon in October 2010 she was fourth in 2:50:21 h.
