Route

Most of the routes for all three runs - marathon, team run, city run - run along the Zurich lake basin. The turning point of the Zurich Marathon is in Meilen, also on Lake Zurich . The last few kilometers lead through Zurich's city center, although the number of changes in direction was reduced in 2007.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Zurich Marathon, the 10 km Cityrun took place for the first time on April 22, 2012, with the distance of this run being the first 10 km of the marathon. All three runs take place on the same day.

The route of the marathon is officially measured according to the rules of AIMS and IAAF . The last measurement was in January 2019.
