Lemi Berhanu

Lemi Berhanu (born September 13, 1994 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .

Career

In 2014 he won the Zurich Marathon in 2:10:40 h on his debut .

The following year he won the Dubai Marathon in 2:05:28 h and the Orlen Warsaw Marathon in 2:07:57 h. He qualified for the marathon of the World Athletics Championships 2015 in Beijing, where he finished 15th with 2:17:37 h. In autumn he finished ninth in the Valencia half marathon .

In 2016, after a second place in Dubai with 2:04:33 h and a victory at the Boston Marathon in 2:12:45 h, he was nominated for the marathon of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he finished in 2:13:29 h came in 13th place.
