Jendrik Petersen (born December 7, 1959 in Flensburg ) is a German professor of business education at the University of Koblenz-Landau .

Life

As part of his officer training, he studied educational sciences with the subjects of adult education, business education, organizational psychology, modern history and political science at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU / UniBwHH) and the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Education in the 1980s . After receiving his doctorate in 1994 as a Dr. phil. Jendrik Petersen founded the management consultancy PwB (project group scientific advice) in the 1990s together with Andre Lehnhoff and other colleagues from the HSU / UniBwH. He completed his habilitation in 2001 at the HSU in the field of educational sciences with the subject "General educational sciences with special consideration of vocational and business education". The call to the Chair of Business Education at the University of Koblenz-Landau also took place in 2001.

Act

In his research activities from the 1990s to the present day, Jendrik Petersen has dealt with the topic of contemporary leadership in times of fundamental change. He takes the view that companies can only be economically successful in the long term if their managers see the human factor as a decisive moment in order to create sustainable benefits for customers and shareholders.

Petersen puts dialogic management up for discussion as an answer to dealing with new challenges caused by social change processes, changed values ​​and digitization as well as methods for effective employer branding .

Together with his partner Andre Lehnhoff, Jendrik Petersen developed practice-oriented procedures and instruments within the framework of the management consultancy PwB in order to establish dialogue management as a management philosophy through suitable personnel selection and personnel development in companies.

In addition to his teaching activities at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Petersen took on teaching positions at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg in the field of vocational and business education from 2003. Since 2007 he has been a lecturer at the Danube University Krems in Austria, since 2008 as a lecturer in the master’s course at the Federal University Institute for Vocational Education and Training in Zollikofen (EHB) in Switzerland with a focus on “Comparative Vocational Training Systems” and “Competence Assessment”.

As part of a cooperation between the University of Koblenz-Landau and the University of the Federal Employment Agency in Mannheim and Schwerin, Jendrik Petersen has been involved in research projects on career orientation for generations Y and Z and on the prevention of dropping out of training since 2010 .
