The Jenny Island ( French Île Jenny ) is a 3 km long, up to 500 m high and rocky island in the archipelago of the Adelaide and Biscoe Islands off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5 km southeast of Cape Alexandra , the southeast tip of Adelaide Island .
It was discovered by participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after the first name of the wife of his deputy Maurice Bongrain (1879-1951).
