Jenny Tseng
Jenny Tseng ( Chinese 甄妮 , Pinyin Zhēn Nī , Jyutping Jan 1 Nei 4 , Yale Yān Nèih ), also known as Yan Nei ; * February 20, 1953 in Macau is a Chinese singer particularly well-known in Asia . Her successful career spans three decades. She has a Portuguese grandmother.
Jenny Tseng was also successful as a presenter, fashion designer and actress. She was in front of the camera for the Shaw Brothers in the late 1970s and early 1980s . In 1977 she married the actor and Kung Fu performer Alexander Fu Sheng , who died in a car accident in 1983. The marriage remained childless, but Tseng has a daughter named Melody Tseng from a later relationship . She lives in San Francisco today .
Jenny Tseng's repertoire ranges from pop to soul in Cantonese , Mandarin and English. At the time she was a great competitor of the equally famous Teresa Teng .
