Jens Bühligen

Jens Bühligen (born September 15, 1966 in Markranstädt ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and has been Lord Mayor of the city of Merseburg in Saxony-Anhalt since July 4, 2008 .

Life

Bühligen completed his Abitur in 1985 in Merseburg and studied law in Berlin from 1989 to 1993 and completed a legal clerkship in Halle from 1993 to 1996. From 1996 to 2001 he worked as a lawyer ( specialist lawyer for labor law ) in Halle and Merseburg. In 2001 he was elected mayor by the Merseburg city council as a non-party candidate. In the same year he joined the CDU. Since 2005 he has been the chairman of the CDU city association of Merseburg. In 2007, Bühligen won a mandate in the election of the Saalekreis district council.

From August 10, 2007 to July 3, 2008, Jens Bühligen continued the official business of the mayor Reinhard Rumprecht, who was suspended from his office (non-party).
