Jens wing (born February 3, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player in midfield . He played for Energie Cottbus in the East German league .

Career

In his youth, Flügel played at SG Dynamo Dresden , BSG Empor Tabak Dresden and ASG Vorwärts Eisenach , before moving back to Empor. He stayed there until 1986 and then went to BSG activist Brieske-Senftenberg for two years . For Brieske-Senftenberg wing completed at least two games in the second-rate GDR league and scored one goal. In 1986, Flügel was hired by BSG Energie Cottbus . In his first season he was part of the team from the start. Wing celebrated its debut on August 13, 1988 when Cottbus won 2-1 against FC Carl Zeiss Jena . The first league goal he succeeded on September 17, 1988 (5th matchday) against 1. FC Union Berlin in the 89th minute. In his first season wing came on 19 missions. In 1989/90 he was only used twice in the league , but also completed six games in the GDR junior league. For the 1990/91 season wing was able to increase his stakes again to 13. He also played with Cottbus in 1990/91 and 1991/92 in the UEFA Intertoto Cup . After the season he moved to the lower class club TuS Esens before returning to Dresden in 1995.

After his career as a football player, Flügel initially worked as an interim coach and later as an assistant coach at FV Dresden 06 Laubegast and then at Dresdner SC. From 2008 to 2010 he was head coach at Dresdner SC, but then again assistant coach.
