Jens Höner

Jens Höner (born June 16, 1966 in Herford , formerly Jens Hilbert) is a German naval officer who trained as a combat swimmer .

Höner joined the Bundeswehr in 1986 and was trained as a combat swimmer by Wilhelm Probst in Eckernförde . Hilbert later developed his passion for diving and founded the German research group "Diamond-Divers". The group set a record for diving over a distance of 55 kilometers in 24 hours. In 2002 Höner set the German deep diving record in the Red Sea with a depth of 241 meters. In 2004 succeeded Hilbert and his group, the sunken wreck of the heavy cruiser Blücher on Oslo - Fjord to explore at a depth of 94 meters.

In 2000, Höner was still a member of the national freediving team and was responsible for boatman training with the Marine Specialized Forces (SEK M) in Eckernförde. Because of his work as a recruiter at the time, he is the only one who shows himself to be an active combat swimmer in public unmasked.
