Jens Heinzig

Jens Heinzig (born February 1, 1962 in Wilkau-Haßlau ) is a German politician ( SPD )

After graduating from high school in 1980 and completing his military service, Heinzig studied at the Technical University of Chemnitz from 1982 to 1987 . In 1987 he became a qualified teacher for mathematics and physics, before he was appointed headmaster in 1990 and appointed principal of high school in 1997.

Heinzig has been a member of the SPD since 1991. In 1994 he was elected to the Zwickau City Council. On May 13, 1998, he stood up for Christine Kurzhals, who died on May 4, 1998, in the German Bundestag . He was a member of the Bundestag only until the new election on September 27, 1998. During this time he was a full member of the Committee on Family, Seniors, Women and Youth .
