Jens Juel (diplomat)
Baron Jens Juel (born July 15, 1631 , † May 23, 1700 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish diplomat and politician who was very influential at the royal court.
Life
In 1657 he was the ambassador of Denmark to Poland . From 1660 to 1668, and then in 1674, he was the Danish ambassador to Stockholm . In 1667 he called for absolutist reforms, which Friedrich III. had prepared. The Danish diplomat and Vice Admiral Just Juel (1664-1715) was his nephew.
