Jens Kaltenstein

Jens Kaltenstein (born November 30, 1963 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German lawyer.

In 1983 he passed the Abitur examination at the Max Planck School in Wilhelmshaven. In 1990 he passed the first state examination in law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . He then worked at the chair for civil law, labor and social law and legal sociology in Giessen. This was followed by a legal traineeship in Bremen and in 1994 the second state examination in Hamburg.

In 1995 he moved to the higher judicial service of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and worked at the social court in Kiel . From January 1999 to November 2000 he was a research assistant at the Federal Social Court . This was followed by a secondment to the Ministry of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein. In February 2003 he was appointed judge at the Regional Social Court and had been working at the Schleswig-Holstein Regional Social Court since October 1, 2003 . Kaltenstein has been a judge at the Federal Social Court since April 2008.
