Jens Korbus

Jens Korbus (born July 13, 1943 in Sichelberg , East Prussia ) is a German writer. His literary focus is on stories about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and his environment.

Korbus grew up in Koblenz and studied German and philosophy in Bonn and Düsseldorf . After passing the first state examination, he was a research assistant at the University of Düsseldorf for one year. This was followed by a legal clerkship and until his retirement he was a teacher of German and philosophy at a grammar school in Koblenz. He was also an employee in trainee lawyer training.

Awards

1988 First winner of the Fachinger Kulturpreis for his "Letter to Goethe". [In the jury including Prof. Herbert Heckmann , the then President of the German Academy for Language and Poetry .]
