Jens Reddig

Jens Reddig (* 1975 in Hanover ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Fiscal Court .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Reddig first completed an apprenticeship as a qualified financier in the financial administration of Lower Saxony . He then studied law with a focus on tax law at the University of Osnabrück . After the first state examination in law and the subsequent legal clerkship with the second state examination in 2005, he completed a master’s degree at the University of Osnabrück. He graduated with a Master of Taxation Law (LL.M. Taxation) in 2006. In the same year he was selected by the University of Osnabrück with the income tax law magazine The meaning of the earnings forecast for facts and legal consequence of private utilities to Dr. iur. PhD. Subsequently, he worked as a lawyer in a Cologne tax office. In 2007 he joined the judicial service of Lower Saxony as a finance judge and was appointed to the Münster finance court . From 2011 he also worked there as a presidential judge.

In March 2017, Reddig was elected judge at the Federal Fiscal Court . He took up his position on June 1, 2018 and was assigned to the X Senate, which is primarily responsible for the taxation of individual traders and for disputes in the areas of special expenses and retirement income.
