Jens Rittmeyer
Jens Rittmeyer (born May 8, 1975 ) is a German star chef and entrepreneur .
Career
Jens Rittmeyer grew up in Halle / Saale and completed his apprenticeship as a chef in Baden-Baden from 1991 to 1993. After various positions in Germany, he worked in the Landhaus Köpp in Xanten in 2000 and in Dieter Müller's restaurant in Bergisch Gladbach in 2001 . After gaining experience in 3-star gastronomy, he emigrated to Albufeira in Portugal in 2002 and cooked for a year at the side of Dieter Koschina as Sous Chef in Vila Joya. In 2003 Jens Rittmeyer became Chef de Cuisine at the São Gabriel restaurant in Almancil (Portugal) and earned his first Michelin star at the age of 27.
He stayed at the Restaurante São Gabriel for a total of 6 years before starting in 2010 as Chef de Cuisine at the KAI3 restaurant at the Budersand Hotel Golf & Spa (Hörnum, Sylt). There he and his team cooked up another Michelin star. In 2011 he organized the annual “Festival of Stars” for the first time with a large number of star chefs from home and abroad.
After almost 7 years, Jens Rittmeyer moved from Sylt to Buxtehude at the beginning of 2017 . In the restaurant N ° 4 of the Navigare NSBhotel he worked as head chef and gastronomic manager and in November 2017 he again cooked up a Michelin star with his team.

In April 2018 Jens Rittmeyer started his company "Rittmeyer's Special Refinements". Jens Rittmeyer has been a member of the Deutsche Manufakturen - Genuss Manufakturen initiative "Handmade-in-Germany" since the beginning of 2018 and has also been a partner of Regionalwert AG since May 2018.
