The Jensen C-V8 was a GT- class sports car that was built by the British car manufacturer Jensen between 1962 and 1966 .

It was the successor to the Jensen 541 , which was built from 1955 to 1963 in different versions and, like this one, had a body made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic that was built on a tubular frame. Unlike its competitor Aston Martin , Jensen relied on tried and tested high- volume technology for the drive train . Used large volume came eight-cylinder - V-engines and transmissions of Chrysler .

The design came from Jensen's chief designer Eric Neale and was controversial at the time. Above all, the eye-catching vehicle front with twin headlights was the focus of criticism from customers and the motor press.

A total of 500 vehicles were produced at the West Bromwich plant in the five-year construction period . The C-V8 underwent two facelifts, which are referred to as Mk II and Mk III.
