The Jensen S-V8 is a vehicle that was sold under the Jensen brand between 2001 and 2002. The two-seater convertible was presented at the British International Motor Show in 1998. Private and public investors, including the City of Liverpool and the Department of Trade and Industry , had invested £ 10 million in the company. In October 1999 the manufacturer announced 110 orders for the planned production of initially 300 units.

Production of the vehicles began in August 2001 in a factory in Speke near Liverpool. However, production was stopped after 20 vehicles. 18 cars were still under construction when the company filed for bankruptcy in July 2002. The unfinished vehicles were sold to SV Automotive in 2003, which completed a further 12 Jensen S-V8s and sold them for 38,070 British pounds.

Technical specifications

The S-V8 is powered by a 4.6 liter Ford V8 engine. The output of 325 hp enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 5 seconds.

C-V8

As a complement to the convertible, a coupe was presented as a new version of the Jensen C-V8 at the British International Motorshow in Birmingham in 2000 . In view of the company's insolvency, only a non-roadworthy prototype was built.
