Jeremiah Rutherford

Jeremiah Rutherford (born October 21, 1982 ) is a Nauruan weightlifter .

Career

At the Oceania Championships Rutherford finished 4th in 2000, in 2004 he won in the weight class up to 105 kg with an overall result of 325 kg. In addition, he was able to achieve 7th place at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002 in the class up to 85 kg with a result of 292.5 kg. Rutherford was part of the Nauruan selection for the 2003 World Weightlifting Championships in Vancouver . He leaned in pushing kg 130 remained in tearing but without scoring and hence without overall. At the Arafura Games 2005 he won in the weight class up to 94 kg with an overall result of 320 kg. In the same year and in the same weight class, Rutherford was also able to win the Tyoni Batsiua Memorial Cup on Nauru. With only two participants in the 94 kg class, 305 kg was enough for victory. At least at the national championships in Naru 2009 Rutherford was able to win another title in the weight class over 105 kg and a total result of 270 kg.
