Jeremy Narby

Jeremy Narby (* 1959 in Montreal ) is a Canadian anthropologist . He became known through his book The Cosmic Snake with descriptions of self- experiments with Ayahuasca .

Life

Jeremy Narby grew up alternately in Switzerland and Canada. After studying history in Canterbury , he switched to anthropology at Stanford . He spent two years with studies in the Peruvian Amazon with Ashaninka -Indianern. Today he teaches anthropology at Stanford and lives alternately in Switzerland, Canada and the USA.
