Jerik Ötembayev

Jerik Myltyqbajuly Ötembajew ( Kazakh Ерік Мылтықбайұлы Өтембаев , Russian Ерик Мылтыкбаевич Утембаев Jerik Myltykbajewitsch Utembaev * 24. February 1966 ) is a Kazakh diplomat and Kazakh since June 2012 Ambassador to Poland . He is married and has three children.

biography

He completed his studies at the national Al-Farabi University in Almaty , from which he graduated with a doctorate in mathematics. From December 2001 to September 2002 he was Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He then acted as Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On April 13, 2006, Ötembayev became the Kazakh ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran . After about three years as ambassador to Tehran, he was appointed Kazakh ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium on March 18, 2009 by President Nursultan Nazarbayev . Two months later, Jerik Ötembajew also became ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and representative of Kazakhstan to the European Union and NATO .

On June 8, 2012, he was appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland by the President of Kazakhstan.
