The Jeroboam Glacier is a glacier near the Oskar II coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows in a south-westerly direction to the Starbuck Glacier , which it reaches immediately east of Gabriel Peak .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier in 1977 after the whaler Jeroboam in Herman Melville's 1851 novel Moby-Dick .
