The Cameroonian women's national handball team represents Cameroon at international matches and international tournaments in women's handball .

Cameroon first took part in the African Championship in 1979 . When they first participated, Cameroon also reached the final, which was lost to Congo at 17:21. Eight years later, Cameroon was again runner-up in Africa.

At the 2004 African Cup of Nations, Cameroon lost to Angola in the final , which was the first time they qualified for the World Cup . At the following World Cup in 2005 , the women's national team lost its five preliminary round games and was eliminated. At the African Cup of Nations 2016, Cameroon reached the semi-finals, which were lost to Angola. Since Senegal used an ineligible player with Doungou Camara during the tournament , Senegal was disqualified after the semi-finals. As a result, Cameroon won the small final without a fight and qualified for the 2017 World Cup . In the preliminary round of the World Cup, Cameroon drew against China . In the following President's Cup, Cameroon was unsuccessful, making them 20th place.
